SUCEAVA COUNTY occupies an area of 8,553.5 square kilometres, representing 3.6% of the country’s surface,
namely the second largest county in Romania. On January 1, 2019, the county’s population was 759,889 inhabitants.
The county lies at the border with Ukraine and, since January 2007, at the Eastern border of the European Union,
which makes possible the trade flow development, both with Ukraine, also with Russian Federation.

• E85 – crosses Europe from North to South and Romania
on the direction Siret – Suceava – Bacău – Bucharest – Giurgiu;
• E576 – links Russia (Rostov) and Austria (Vienna), and crosses Romania on direction Halmeu – Baia Mare
– Bistriţa -Suceava – Botoşani – Iaşi – Sculeni (Republic of Moldavia).
by air:
• “Ștefan cel Mare” International Airport – Suceava, located at 12 km from the city of Suceava, and at 30.5
km from the city of Botoşani. Access is possible via a driveway of 3 km that makes a link between the two
cities, through DN 29 (DN: National Road).
by railway:
• European railway Bucharest – Bacău – Suceava – Vicşani – Moscow;
• National railway Timișoara – Cluj – Suceava – Iași – Galați.
